It is
wonderful to be at a point in our Council’s history that we can once again turn
our attention to charitable endeavors.
While perusing the annals of our order’s history, I encountered an
anecdote that brings to mind our current situation. In 1932, at the height of the Great

The
Council’s Annual pilgrimage
to
The Annual Boyd “Keep on Hopin’” Open Golf Outing will be held this year on Friday, September 11th at Dunwoodie Golf Course. The cost of the affair will be $110, which includes green fees, golf cart, a lavish dinner, and bottomless refreshments. Any member in good standing wishing to attend should contact Chairman Rich Condon at (914) 231-5285.
One of the wettest springs on record has played havoc with all outdoor athletic teams from tee ball to the major leagues and the New York Chapter Softball League is no exception. Despite this, Boyd currently sports a
6-0 record and welcomes all members and their families to attend upcoming games. Anyone interested should contact skipper Brian Farley at (914) 424-2106.

The Council wishes to congratulate publicly our own Carmine Tabacco on his recent election as New York Chapter Treasurer. Our long time Financial Secretary, Carmine has served the Council tirelessly and professionally, often under the radar. Congratulations, not only to Carmine, but also to the Chapter for their astuteness in recognizing and advancing an individual of Carmine’s caliber.
